There exists in these United States of America a cabal (a plutocratic alliance of individuals), a group so powerful they can and do operate completely above the law. But, although I will prove with logical certainty beyond any shadow of doubt that this cabal exists, I have no knowledge of their true identities. Exposing their existence, however, may be enough to seal their fate, as such darkness lives only in secret (i.e., plutocracy and democracy never knowingly coexist for long).
I am dealing in facts. The truths essential to the proof of what I am saying are available to all literate people. Libraries and news paper archives contain all the data. All I have done is to put two and two together, by seeing things differently, from another angle so to speak.
The Holy Bible which some claim is God's Word, says to "Prove all things;" {I Th 5:21}. My great grandmother said, "The proof of the pudding is in the eating." Too, even the most atheistic empiricist will want two apples in each hand before he will take someone's word that they total four. So it is that this work is founded upon verifiable evidence, instead of hearsay.
Yet, all authors have a thesis to grind. With humility I must state that my opinion thus far stands alone without popular support. It is up to you, ladies and gentlemen of the court of public opinion, to be the judges of whether or not my reasoning is sound.
Daniel Ellsberg was the man who leaked the once "top secret" Pentagon Papers detailing why the United States was really involved in Viet Nam, the American bombing of Cambodia, and etc.. For this, Ellsberg was prosecuted by the United States for violating his secrecy oath and imprisoned.
The thing is-- all too much is missing from the story of Ellsberg's case, to wit:
1) We, the people are supposedly the sovereign of the United States. It is by virtue of and upon our collective will that the United States even exists, at least that is what our Founding Fathers prescribed should be. It is not appropriate for the sovereigns' opinions and motivations for action to be molded and shaped by the lies of their public servants. In 'blowing the whistle' on the disgrace which was the Viet Nam conflict, Daniel Elsberg acted in obedience to the oath he swore "to protect, support, uphold and defend the Constitution for the United States of America against all enemies, both foreign and domestic." {Emphasis supplied.} This should be to Daniel Ellsberg's credit, not to his censure!
2) Keeping secret from the sovereign the data that the sovereign had need of knowing in order to discern the uprightness of the character of public servants is subterfuge. In leaking the Pentagon Papers to the media Ellsberg violated no lawful order. As JUVENAL said, "Who shall guard the guards themselves?"
3) When what later became known as "the Pentagon Papers" first appeared in The Washington Post, most folk wrote them off as communist propaganda. Later, when they were carried in most of the papers throughout the free world, they gained in credibility. And when the US Military prosecuted Elsberg for violating his secrecy oath in leaking them, that prosecution authenticated the source of those documents, at law, incontrovertibly. The Pentagon Papers are many things to many people, but they can not reasonably be seen as mere communist propaganda by anyone.
4) It was no secret to the Cambodians that the United States was bombing them. The Viet Cong knew, as did North Viet Nam. Nor were those bombings any secret to our Cold War enemies in the USSR, China, or even Cuba. Because the enemy already knew, there was no tactical advantage to be gained from keeping the truth from them. Only We, the supposedly sovereign people of the United States were to be kept in the dark. Only the sovereign people of America were not to know! [The bombings were played-up in the US media as mere communist propaganda before "the Papers" were leaked.]
5) In historical retrospect it was not Ellsberg but his prosecutors who betrayed the special trust of their offices and tarnished the fringe of America's Military Flag. The motive inherent in the prosecution was manifestly to intimidate the other members of the military who might be so rash as to let some other cat out of some other bag.
1)The (expletive omitted) plutocratic people responsible for manipulating the public's opinions with their own false propaganda (The "Truman Doctrine/Dominos Theory" of how communism was going to take over the world if not stopped in Viet Nam.), in willful betrayal of the public trust (Keeping secret from their sovereigns what the sovereigns had not only the right but the need to know.), are also responsible for spending lives. Those lives were lost, not as a wise general might lose a few so that many could be saved, but in the manner of a gambler throwing chips on a gaming table in the hope of wealth. Over 56,000 lives were lost gambling for filthy lucre, namely: oil and rubber, etc.. Putting innocent lives 'in harm's way' to worship and honor Mammon {the god of greed} is nothing but BLOODY MURDER!!!
2) Daniel Ellsberg deserves a full pardon and the Medal of Freedom in honor of his courage in the face of America's real enemies, namely: the Plutocrats who gambled with unwitting lives.
3) Those Plutocrats on the other hand deserve the full force and effect of the law. They are murderers, yet still walk free.
Why has there been no charge, or even an investigation?
Because the prosecutorial and investigative agencies are aiding and abetting
the Plutocrats, not working for their sovereigns, that's
WHY!!!
Finally:
I have written what I believe is the truth, and as Thomas
Paine said, "Such is the irresistible nature of truth, that all it asks,
and all it wants is the liberty of appearing." But whether my effort will
effect change or not hinges, not only upon public acceptance of what I
have said, but upon governmental action in the form of investigation and
prosecution of the murderous Plutocrats. Either the people are the sovereigns
of the United States, or the US Constitution is just words on paper without
any force or effect.
MAGNA EST VERITAS, ET PRAEVALET ! {Mighty is the truth, and it will prevail !}
